"Anacapa’s design philosophy translates into thriving community intersections and distinctive private residences. By focusing on the cultural and environmental impacts of reshaping space, Anacapa balances the social responsibility of urban planning and development, while daring to implement unexpected and imaginative functionality.
Established in Santa Barbara, California as Dan Weber Architecture, Anacapa emerged in November 2016, as a way of honoring the collective contribution underlying our design ethos. Anacapa illustrates a connection to the Santa Barbara Channel’s ecological history and stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the local community that has nurtured our vision. Our studio was founded in the Funk Zone on Anacapa Street, a distinct locality magnetized by lively grassroots commerce. This uncontested hallowed ground nurtured our company’s roots and remains fundamental to our creative identity."
Crafting on some yarn art lately.
Little painting I created. Acrylic paint with sharpie and paint pens on vellum paper.
I have been working on my home for the past year and I am really really happy how it is coming out so I figured I would post - because creating space is just as important as creating art, it is the same thing, just a different medium for me :) My goal with feng shui is to create a space that supports my goals and serves as a container to foster the energy I am trying to create with my life. For me, this room needs to feel a level of comfort so that I can rest, but also inspire me to do my work. More importantly, these two rooms - both the dining and living room - need to welcome those who enter into my home, provide my guests with relaxation, and leave them feeling inspired.
Just messing around with Adobe Illustrator ...
If you are in the Los Angeles area this October, make sure to check out DARK WAVES live. Stoked to keep helping Nick with fliers! :)
Also make sure to check out his new video for Diamonds in the Dark.
So stoked to share that The Peregrine by Channel Island Surfboards is finally out!! Check it out on the CI website here. I feel so honored that Dane picked my graphic of the bird's head to use as the logo for the board. #purestoke!
My cousin Melissa over in Maui is having a baby boy named Lio. I was pretty upset that I was not able to attend the baby shower but extremely happy about the gift my Mother and I made for them. She just got the mobile in the mail and it will be up in no time. Stoked!
