First Thursday SB
Last night I attended Santa Barbara's First Thursday Art Walk. I hope you enjoy the art and the photos! I know I did!
First stop was State and A where we visited our friend and talented filmmaker/ photographer Zach Brown
Kilian and Zach
Next stop on the art walk was Fuzion. This place had all the best art! I highly recommend shopping there for your street wear threads as well.
Most of the following pictures are all taken at Fuzion, wish I knew who all the artists where.... Here are my favorites-
Detail from the above painting
sooo sick!
Vanae Rivera .... one of my favorite SB artists, probably because her art steez reminds me of Fafi and I love little pin ups. Check out her blog...
I love how popular feather jewelry is becoming right now. I have seen Aya Papaya's earrings before at Yoga Soup, and it was cool to see some of her product last night at Fuzion. She is doing feather hair extensions, RAD! $15 per strand....
Our last and final stop was an art show on Helena Street. I absolutely loved this group of works. I wish I knew the artist because this guy/or girl ROCKS
I LOVE Characters! One of my favorites all night.
That concludes my First Thursday! Thanks for checking out my blog <3

Summer Solstice in SB
Summer Solstice in Santa Barbara is one of my favorite days all year and I always look forward to the solar festivities that circulate around my home town for the that one special day. Everyone is always in a good mood and the sun seems to never fail us, giving SB a warm glow all day. In the spirit of Summer Solstice, every year I am inspired to create one garment or accessory that serves to express creativity and Summer Love. Last year I made a shell top so I could swim with the mermaids, the year before I created a flower bra, and this year I created a crystal/bead/ chain headpiece that was inspired by Jasmine from Disney's Aladin. I wanted something inspired by the east, that was princess like, but had elements of festivities and celebration. I also added the swarovski crystal tear drop so it could catch the sun and glimmer rainbows across my face. I also really liked the head piece Suzi made because the stone had a raw earthy element to it that went well with her loose wire wrapping for the crown of the piece. The pink stone also looked amazing with her skin tone. Suzi is amazing with headpieces and I am sure we will have a crafting session soon. Please let me know if you want to join! Enjoy the pics xoxo
This photo is great in so many ways.

Beware Of The Humans Art Show
On Saturday night, the Lobero Theatre was where it was at! Beware Of The Humans is a clothing line by Joe Beraldo, another 805 hommie that was the main feature of the show, as well as the theme surrounding the event. Joe hand picked a group of talented SB locos to show case their work at the famous theater. See the pics below...
Evol from The Seventh Letter Crew down in Los Angeles came up. This painting/ drawing of the pit bull was probably my favorite. Mad skillz.
Beware Of The Humans clothing on lock deez.
The zombie Pin Up by Ben Kendall. Sicki to the gnar.
I would have to say that this one was the hit of the night, again more works out of talented Ben Kendall. His realism is off the charts. More pictures to come of the live painting...stay tuned.
Powell FUN! Premeir
This past Tuesday we premiered our first video in almost 8 years, FUN! There are so many never before seen tricks & records, I think that this one is going to be a banger!! It was very well received at Cow Town at the Phoenix Am last weekend, and the Powell team has been on the road traveling & premiering/ promoting it all over the west coast! It was awesome to have everyone in house and thank you all for coming!
Hahah DYET is funny dude.
Skateboarding's oldest photographer Grant Britton showed up from the The Skateboard Mag.
SOC Artist and former Shorty's Art Director and Team Manager Billy Bakker, CEO GAP, The Gnar, & Sherlock.
Figueroa Mountain
This past Saturday, I took a trip up to Figueroa Mt with Kilian. Super irie up there in the Santa Ynez Mountains, and hopefully the flowers will start blooming later this month, as Spring is almost here. I also hit up the Solvang Skate park that day, for my first time ever rolling around. My digital camera was broke ass but it just came back so more posts soon to fallow!
Scarf Party
Last week, we had a scarf party at Dirt's house. Dirt got his little hands on a loot of sicki fashion scarves. I got 8 scarves total and have been planning my outfits around them since. They make for the best accessory and have so many uses. I would hit up Mike if you are interested! Good prices, FYI this is some under ground rootsy shit. Not sure if there is any left, but I am sure he would be happy to let you know! Holler at me if you want in.
Not only did we get to play with cool scarves for a couple hours, we took out the paint pens and white labels and made little hit-ups, while listening to techno. A hipster's dream right? HA!! Good energy and company. When is the next gig? Hope it is soon!

Tea Fire Raps
SB Loco Trevin, AKA, t.r.e. who is hommies with my little brother Vinnie and his bro Toby wrote this sweet song "Be Free" Check it out here
It is the first known rap that is on record about Santa Barbara's Tea Fire. I am assuming. Very insightful, straight from the heart, SB Loco status, shout outs to a bunch of current Santa Barbara High School DONS FOREVER kids, and one special *Angel. Yall know who I am talking about.

Nickatina
I apologize for the buttload of vids, but the concert was just so good that I had to share all these with yall. Andre Nickatina is pretty much the best rapper out of The Bay Area right now. Yeah yeah Too $hort and E-40 got it pretty good, but their rhymes aren't nothing compared to Nickatina. He doesn't even need to rap about dumb shit most rappers rap about like gang bangin, because he is so intelligent, he raps about the most random shit. And it is SO FUNNY! He has taken over pretty much all of Mac Dre's fan base after he was shot back in 2005. He is keeping Mac Dre alive on the real. Mad props to Nickatina. Everyone who was there knows this shit was fresh. Check out his new jams on his myspace.
Happy 24th Birthday James Fay!!!
WATCH THESE FOOLIOS!
