I am not talking about your typical manny here. No french tips for me. I am talking about the current nail trend in the urban street wear thang, if you in it, you know what I am talking about. Or just look below

Don't get me wrong, I JOCK getting your nails did, and it looks FRESH, but my question for you is this...

If you get your nails did, how the fuck do you bust ass and work around the house?

For example, if I have 1 inch fake nails on the tips of my hands, how am I going to put plastic gloves on and wash the dishes?

Or what about if I go on a hike and I need to hold on to a tree to climb up a cliff, are my nails going to break? (This happens in Santa Barbara people... 7 Falls)

OR what if you cook tacos and there is a piece of beef that gets stuck in your hella sexy nails, and you don't know about it? GROSS! I am hands on with making food and clean hands are a must... so what is under all the acrylic and plastic?

For fuck sake! I can barely keep the polish on them!

It doens't work! Nor does it work if you garden, or if you type really fast on the comp, or if you do specialized art like cut stencils. No No. Getting your nails did is not practical. But I might look really cool picking my nose. So is this a sign of wealth? Getting your nails did?? Who the F knows! But if I even tried to do my nails like this, and I wish I could, they would break the same day, cuz home girl is on THE GRIND!

House Party Art Show

Went to this art show this past Thursday... Met some new peeps, saw a home boy or two. I was diggin' the skulls with the shells. Creative. I like the concept- house party turned art show. Wait till I have my own, soon kids soon.

Kate Moss Is Still My Favorite

That was funny when Kate Moss was busted railing poop snaps (as they say in Laguna Beach) and then got dropped on some of her modeling contracts, but then got picked up by even bigger ones. Good shit Sometimes it is good to be bad.

Other times it is just fun to look bad. That is why I like this blog... Le Smoking... just pics/ art of peeps smoking... kewl. Not that I am one to promote it, but I would have to say, it's fucking fascinating! And my fascination probably will continue into the rest of my life. The End. LOL

Todd Bratrud Signed Creature Prints

A couple of weeks ago soon to be legendary skateboard artist Todd Bratrud (The Skateboard Mag, Creature, Flip, Volcom, ...) sent me these sweet ass personally singed Creature Prints. I like to think I am 'officially' in the Hesh Crew but that is me just pulling your chain. Had to brag about these babies. The Viking Ship is the dopest. The green ink on the paper just glows at you, something a skateboard deck or a poster cannot reproduce. Shit is fly. Thanks TB! You da shitz!

The Wallenberg gap first appeared in Mark Gonzales's part in "Video Days," a 1991 skateboarding video released by Blind Skateboards. More recently, Thrasher skateboard magazine hosted "High Noon at the Big Four" at the famous spot. While the stair set is still there the school has re-profiled the "run up" to the set so it is no longer possible to use Vega St to gain speed, it has to be obtained from a ramp or roll in, or by gaining speed in some other form.

New Vocab Word: The Mall Grab

I learned a new word today that I need to share with you peeps.

According to Urban Dictionary:

The MALL GRAB: The wrong way to hold a skateboard (by the trucks, with grip tape rubbing against your pants).


Typical of people who spend more time carrying their skateboard around the mall as a fashion accessory instead of actually riding it.

Example:
"The poseur was easy to spot because their pants had been sanded down near the waist due to constant mall grabbing. "

Defiantly not trying to roll to the skate park looking like a kook!

LOL Asher Roth Disses Fire Crotch at UCSB Extravaganza

I read this on Perez and had to share it with all you SB kids...



La Loca had heard that Asher was performing at UC Santa Barbara and like any devoted fan, she got her peeps in the car and drove three hours to see him. Only problem was that Roth wanted NOTHING to do with her.

A source from the event noticed Lindsay attempting to hang with the dude, and he was just not having it: "Lindsay was bugging both Asher and his management team to get onstage during She Don't Want a Man, but Asher was so annoyed by her requests that he actually skipped performing the single."

As any good celebrity would do, she released her frustration out on her Twitter: "Wow. Asher was cocky to all my friends and not that nice."

Get used to it, Lindsay. We can't think of too many people left in this town who would be "nice" to you.

You gotta earn that, bb!
