ADAM MARS
I am extremely delighted to present to you my first project as a model/ muse. My dear friend Adam Mars from Laguna Beach, CA painted this amazing representation of my profile. Mars has obtained his Masters in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design and displayed his work in numerous shows across the State of California. His style is pristine, refined, tastefully futuristic and nothing like anything you have ever seen. Adam is destine for greatness and has already achieved souring heights for being so young when it comes to the art world and his masterpieces. In a world where your eyes are trained to watch plasma TV's, 3-D movies, and crystal clear images, Adam's Art is on another level and is quite pleasing to the eye... and it is all hand done. I hope you enjoy the photos, but they are nothing like the real thing. XOX

Title: Meija
Medium: acrylic on canvas panel
Size: 12.5" x 10.5"
Date: 2010
I love the way the piece came out! My skin looks elegant, and as Adam would describe, I am pale as a vampire! Which, if you know me, you know that I don't mind that at all..... quite flattering if you ask me. And my lips are my favorite part of the whole thing.

Summer Solstice in SB
Summer Solstice in Santa Barbara is one of my favorite days all year and I always look forward to the solar festivities that circulate around my home town for the that one special day. Everyone is always in a good mood and the sun seems to never fail us, giving SB a warm glow all day. In the spirit of Summer Solstice, every year I am inspired to create one garment or accessory that serves to express creativity and Summer Love. Last year I made a shell top so I could swim with the mermaids, the year before I created a flower bra, and this year I created a crystal/bead/ chain headpiece that was inspired by Jasmine from Disney's Aladin. I wanted something inspired by the east, that was princess like, but had elements of festivities and celebration. I also added the swarovski crystal tear drop so it could catch the sun and glimmer rainbows across my face. I also really liked the head piece Suzi made because the stone had a raw earthy element to it that went well with her loose wire wrapping for the crown of the piece. The pink stone also looked amazing with her skin tone. Suzi is amazing with headpieces and I am sure we will have a crafting session soon. Please let me know if you want to join! Enjoy the pics xoxo
This photo is great in so many ways.

Pussy Cat from the Philippines by Derek Santiago
I can't tell you enough how much I love pin- up art! It is very inspiring and just sucks me in, I could spend hours and hours researching. One of my favorite artists, Derek Santiago over at Rice and Beanz continues to amaze me with his futuristic pin-up art. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. A Pussy Cat is perfect for Friday. xoxox Kitty Cat
Acacia Swimwear: The Lifestyle of a Gypsetter
With summer in full effect, it is hard not have bikinis on the brains. I am completely overloaded with flirty styles and this seasons must have picks. Not to mention some South swells that has had my boyfriend and his buddies flocking to the beach. It is quite inspiring to see such a trend emerging among pro surfers' better halves when it comes to designing couture swimwear. I must say, Tori Praver takes the cake for me... But Lyndie Irons, husband World Champ Andy Irons, line Acacia Swimwear along with her partner Naomi Newirth has defiantly sparked my interest. With Italian fabrics and Brazilian inspired cuts, this line sure looks sexy. Can't wait to get my hands, or my ass, on one. Enjoy the pictures via Acacia Swimwear.
Art Shack
I have to say, I had quite the amazing time at the Laguna Beach Art Museum a couple weeks ago at the opening of the current exhibit- Art Shack. Each artists' exhibitions were uniquely different from the next and it was a pleasure to travel from shack to shack and marvel at the installations. Artist Adam Mars and I started the evening at the Hurley / Nike/ Converse 225 Store in Laguna with mojiotos in hand surrounded by the ehibit's artists. After having a couple of cocktails and warm conversations, we walked over to the museum to enoy the show. The high lite of my evening was meeting the legendary Don Ed Hardy and Craig Stecyk. It truley was a blessing as I have been inspired by their art for a quite some time now. I hope you enjoy the photos and if you have time, please try and make it over to Art Shack.

Billabong ** Design for Humanity **
Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of attending my first ever Billabong Design for Humanity. The event was held at the New York city section of Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, Ca. They had two different stages, an art gallery, live art, tee-shirt screening workshop, bars, fashion show, live music, and a shit ton of cool people... Not to mention the proceeds benefit the Invsible Children of Africa. Good karma points that put everyone in a celebratory mood. I was thuroghly impresssed by the whole production and had a great time.
All over lace? Love it! I am still dying to get the American Apparel one piece...
