Giant Thangs

Two weekends ago I went up to San Francisco and got a tattoo by an artist named Mike Giant. This is something I have contemplated four 4 years and it has now physically manifested itself onto my body. WHAT A TRIP.  I feel blessed but also am experiencing different levels of anxiety that come with this new change, AND yes, I am a scaredy cat pussy! I tired to take as many  as photos  as I could during my session,  but I eventually lost interest of trying to work my camera because I was so amused/distracted/anxious with the events from the day. Here are a couple of random shots that I took from my afternoon with Mike and my best friend Nicole <3

Nikita Spring 2011 Part 2:: The Mermaid's Chest

If you are every in Santa Barbara, I high recommend this little hole in the wall antique store The Mermaid's Chest at 16 Helena Ave. I really had a lot of fun with this outfit and shooting at this location! Loving the F21 maxi skirt with the Nikita shirt tucked in it with all the accessories. Hope you enjoy:) xo

A little bit about Nikita from their website:

Nikita is an icelandic clothing brand, founded by its head designer Heida Birgisdottir and friends in a tiny skate/streetwear store in Reykjavik 10 years ago.

Punk Rock Princess:: Jesse Jo Stark

Jesse Jo Stark, also known as the "Anti-It Girl," has recently caught my eye, and it looks like she has been catching other peoples eyes for quite some time. Thank god for girls like her. Her punk rock style brings me back to my Junior High roots when I just started to get into the 'cool' music scene, too bad I didn't have the 'ganas' to wear this stuff back in 8th grade when I had no idea who  I was. I love celebrating Jesse's style when we have too many Jeffery Campbell Top Shop look alikes everywhere blogging it up for Nylon  Mag. Please.  Don't get me wrong though, I love all all of the above, I'm just saying. Jesse Jo defiantly embodies a California style that demands my attention. Damn girl, you make bad look so good.
